We meet onsite to review project details with you, making sure nothing is overlooked before construction begins. Our goal is to continuously refine our methods, boosting efficiency and improving your overall experience.
With your estimate in hand and your commitment to Bohan Contracting, we’ll sit down to finalize your project's details. We’ll get a better understanding of your level of finishes and fine tune your scope of work. After we button up all the details, we’ll provide a contract that reflects your desired outcome.
Next, with few exceptions, we finalize and order all your selections. Choosing all selections upfront allows you to have a holistic view of your home while also preventing surprise budget overruns. Ordering early in the process prevents lost time due to backordered items or shipping errors. While some of these challenges are inevitable, ordering early minimizes the risk of leaving you without a functioning space for an unnecessary period of time. When the delivery date of your selections is confirmed, we will schedule a start date to commence work.
You will receive regular updates on progress and discoveries along the way. If required changes and adjustments arise, we will communicate your options and any associated costs in writing as soon as possible.
If you discover there is more work you want tackled once the project has begun, simply communicate with your project manager in writing. We will determine the pricing and get it back to you as soon as possible. We will track changes or extra work you may request and collect deposits as scheduled to keep your project moving forward seamlessly.
Upon completion of your project, we will walk the work site with you to ensure it is completed to your satisfaction. Then, we look forward to helping you with your next project or home improvement!
We all have them. You have them as our client, and we have them as your contractor.
Sounds simple but, we’ll need your cooperation for the duration of your project. We want to help with all your needs and provide an end project you’re happy with. To do that, we will need your help and input.
Key, Code, or You! - Seems obvious but without it, we can’t do our job.
Availability - A reasonable amount of dates/days/times to perform work to allow us to properly schedule.
Patience - In any project, there are many variables. No matter how straight forward a job presents, and how prepared we arrive, the unknown is there. Sometimes this means multiple trips, even in a single day. So please… bear with us and our comings and goings!
Protection - Please clear your valuables and furniture prior to commencing construction. We are in the business of constructing; we don't specialize in moving. Keep in mind that tools and materials are bulky, heavy and sharp.
Space - We will need multiple areas other than the specific work zone. We will need to stage our tools, materials and trash, and a place to perform the work.
Questions will arise that will need answers. Please be ready to help us make decisions in writing.
We want to keep you in the know without bombarding you with our daily details. Let us know the level of information you want and your preferred method of communication.

Although our team brings decades of experience to your project, we don’t have a crystal ball or x-ray vision, so we have no way of knowing the unforeseen.
Even with a set of architectural plans, we may discover along the way something that hadn’t been addressed, such as a city/county inspector requiring something previously not included.
Although we strive to have every detail upfront, some will forever remain elusive. Please bear with us when we have to deliver sometimes challenging news. We will communicate all options (if any) so you can make an informed decision.
It wouldn’t be your project if you didn’t tell us what you want. Selections are fun for many, stressful for some and expensive for others. We try to help ease the process by providing you with the list of items required to select for your project. This process can be as simple and straight forward as you sending us the link of the item you want. If it doesn't come that easily for you, we can provide you with a list of available options best representing the allowances on your contract for you to select.
The payment schedule on your contract strategically facilitates work and materials. Timeliness is essential to keep your project moving.
If work is added from city/county requirements or personal requests that are not part of your contract, we will create Extra Work Requests and Change Orders that come with a payment schedule. Not to worry, our office will keep it all straight for you!
Final payment will be due after we walk the job with you on completion day. We expect to complete your project to your satisfaction.
Even after your job is complete, you are still our client! If anything should arise or you find something we need to readdress, please let us know.
